The Blu-ray player market has become tough over the last decade. This is due to the fact that even the mid-range models currently include some ideal features. However, the Panasonic DMP-BDT210 incorporates a design and usability that places this device ahead of its competition. The Panasonic has one of the best disc-loading speeds of any Blu-ray player in its price range. The user interface is also easy to navigate and the remote includes a button for accessing streaming video.

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 offers a polished feel and is a great Blu-ray player that incorporates a 2D-3D conversion. The 2D-3D conversion allows any user to convert pictures and video from Blu-ray discs and DVDs into 3D. It is important to note that 3D has a natural depth perception. This is ideal for watching previously owned DVDs in 3D. The Panasonic offers a greater viewing enjoyment. Moreover, movie files such as AVCHD that have been recorded with HD camcorders can also be converted from high quality 2D to a 3D format.

The exterior design of the Panasonic Blu-ray player appears simple and sleek. The player has a glossy black front panel with illuminated lightening. However, this player is distinct from other Blu-ray players. When the eject button is pressed, the whole front panel flips down and exposes the disc tray as well as several other panel buttons. The flip-down front panel allows the Panasonic player to provide a more seamless look. The only disadvantage is that if a USB port is required than the panel door must stay down.

The back of the player supports many of the standard ports that are required for auxiliary devices such as speakers. The only major port that is missing is the second HDMI port. For that reason, if the AV receiver does not include a HDMI input and you are planning to view 3D pictures, the HD audio will be unavailable. This drawback is minor; however it is important to note that the player includes other inputs to balance this disadvantage.

An advantage of the player offered by Panasonic is the VIERA CAST with Skype feature. This feature allows any user to benefit from real-time visual communication. More importantly, the visual communication is accomplished on a large screen. Family and friends are able to display their images and videos directly on the TV. The DMP-BDT210 also features an easy to use and handy Auto Answering Video Message function. This is ideal for receiving messages when you are away from the Blu-ray player.

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 is a great Blu-ray player. The device includes unique features and offers a sleek and stylish design. The Panasonic player is simple to use, easy to navigate, it has built-in Wi-Fi and it is excellent for streaming video via Netflix, Amazon Instant and Skype. The DMP-BDT210 also has a 2D-3D converter and the best disc-loading speed of any player in its price range. This Blu-ray player by Panasonic is a must have for any movie watcher.
