The Lumix G10 is a high end compact digital camera which is aimed at novice and intermediate photographers. This is due to the fact it has many simple features which can be expanded upon using the menu buttons. It also holds the title of the 'worlds lightest system camera.'
Ease of use on the Lumix G10 is great as its light weight and small size enable it to be carried around effortlessly. This makes it good if you want to take quick photos or just keep it ready just in case you need to take a quick shot.
Some of the shots that come out of the Panasonic Lumix G10 have been known to be soft but aren't too much of a problem. As a tip if you have Photoshop on your PC you can easily sharpen the pictures if you want to, its not necessary but can help. However some people like their photos softer so it's a matter of personal choice.
HD movie recording is quite a large thing these days as it allows people to capture scenes as they are happening and add more vivid memories. The use of Intelligent Auto mode definitely helps to reduce blur and other unwanted effects, make sure this is enabled during the movie process.
If you're a complete novice to photography or want to get started in the professional career, this digital camera could be a good starting point. Since this is a middle band camera we wouldn't expect experts to use this but could become quite the package if add ons such as high quality lenses are acquired.
